Geo. H. Lewis & Sons was proud to provide use of its Jasek Chapel for an art show featuring the work of contemporary artist Nestor Topchy to unveil his Iconic Portrait Strand exhibition. This was the first public presentation of more than 100 portraits depicting notables, particularly from the art world, in 800-year-old Byzantine tradition. The exhibit included portraits of Edward Albee, Alison De Lima Greene, Michael Galbreth, Molly Gochman, Rick Lowe and Joseph Helfenstein, among others.

The unusual setting of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons for the exhibition was conceived in part as a symbol that people are forever present in their portraits, and that art transcends death and time. More than 300 guests were in attendance at the art show and the firm’s caterer also underwrote the catering for the event.
